Resolved Question: Craftsman drill press motor / thing on side of motor.?
I have a drill press, with a burnt up smelling component thing, wired with 2 wires, mounted on the side of the motor. It almost looks like a D battery, covered in some hard, thick burnt tar looking stuff. The drill press is a Bench top, Sears Craftsman, 8-inch. 3 speed:620-1300-3100 rpm, 1/2 inch chuck, 1/3 horsepower. The model # is 113.213100. It wants to turn, but wont. Sears doesn't have the part, nor know what it is. Anyone know a fix?
